The Power of Owning What’s True

The truth is...you wouldn’t trade.

It’s one of my favorites stories to reference and acknowledge as true.

Ten people in group therapy sit in a circle and take turns sharing their troubles.

Once everyone’s had a turn to share; they now have a choice: take someone else’s troubles or take back your own.

We always choose our own.

You’re allowed to have times when you feel down and out.

You’re allowed to look around and wonder why things (for you) always seem to feel hard (er).

But rather than trying to shame or hurry yourself to get somewhere else; start with and own what’s true.

Even in your toughest moments, you wouldn’t trade your life for anyone else’s.

Radically owning this position with yourself is one of those fine-tuning gestures that leads to the type of lasting transformation you dream of.

Please don’t take my word for it. Go see for yourself.

xx Lori
